TASTEFUL ETHIOPIAN CABBAGE DISH

To make this Tasteful Ethiopian Cabbage Dish, You’ll need the following Ingredients:

Ingredients:

1/2 cup olive oil

4 carrots, thinly sliced

1 onion, thinly sliced

1 teaspoon of sea salt

1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric

1/2 head cabbage, shredded

5 potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes

Directions:

1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook the carrots and onion in the hot oil for about 5 minutes. Stir in the salt, pepper, cumin, turmeric, and cabbage and cook another 15 to 20 minutes. Add the potatoes; cover. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook until potatoes are soft, 20 to 30 minutes.

2 tablespoons butter

1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced

1/2 cup butter

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 (3 ounces) package cream cheese

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

3/4 teaspoon dried basil

2/3 cup boiling water

1/2 pound cooked shrimp

Directions:

1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add linguine and cook until tender, about 7 minutes. Drain.

2. Meanwhile, heat 2 tablespoons butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms; cook and stir until tender. Transfer to a plate.

3. In the same pan, melt 1/2 cup butter with the minced garlic. Stir in the cream cheese, breaking it up with a spoon as it melts. Stir in the parsley and basil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Mix in boiling water until sauce is smooth. Stir in cooked shrimp and mushrooms; heat the sauce through.

Based on his sketchy explanations and a little research into Eastern European spices, I concocted this hearty and slightly spicy bake with ground beef, paprika, and vegetables like celery and peppers. Great with a glass of red wine!”

Flavorful Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie and Potato Bake

To make this Flavorful Serbian Ground Beef, Veggie and Potato Bake, You’ll need the following Ingredients:

Ingredients:

1 pound ground beef

1 tablespoon olive oil

2 celery stalks, chopped

1 green bell pepper, chopped

1 onion, chopped

1/2 tablespoon paprika

1 carrot, shredded

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper

1 pinch ground cinnamon

1 pinch ground cloves

1/4 cup of water

1/8 cup red wine

1 cube beef bouillon

2 tablespoons half-and-half

2 potatoes, peeled and sliced

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Lightly grease a casserole dish.

2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the beef until evenly brown. Remove beef from skillet, reserving juices, and set aside. Mix in the olive oil, and saute the green pepper, onion, carrot, and celery until tender.

3. Return beef to the skillet, and season with paprika, salt, black pepper, red pepper, cinnamon, and cloves. Stir in the water and red wine until heated through. Dissolve the beef bouillon cube into the mixture. Remove skillet from heat, and mix in the half-and-half.

4. Layer the bottom of the prepared casserole dish with enough potato slices to cover. Place the beef and vegetable mixture over the potatoes, and top with remaining potatoes.

5. Cook, covered, 45 minutes in the preheated oven, or until the potatoes are tender.

EASY CHOCOLATE CHIP CHEESECAKE

To make this Easy Chocolate Chip Cheesecake, You’ll need the following Ingredients:

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs

1/3 cup white sugar

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese

1/3 cup butter, melted

1 (14 ounces) can of sweetened condensed milk

3 eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1 cup mini semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 teaspoon all-purpose flour

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F (150 degrees C). Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, butter and cocoa. Press onto bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch springform pan. Set crust aside.

2. Beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sweetened condensed milk; beat well. Add vanilla and eggs, and beat on medium speed until smooth. Toss 1/3 of the miniature chocolate chips with the 1 teaspoon flour to coat (this keeps them from sinking to the bottom of the cake). Mix into cheese mixture. Pour into prepared crust. Sprinkle top with remaining chocolate chips.

3. Bake at 300 degrees F (150 degrees C) for 1 hour. Turn off oven (do not open oven door) and leave the cake in the oven to cool in the oven for another hour. Remove from oven and cool completely. Refrigerate before removing the sides of the pan. Keep cake refrigerated until time to serve.

To make this Best Marshmallow Treats, You’ll need the following Ingredients:

Ingredients:

1/4 cup butter

4 cups miniature marshmallows

5 cups crisp rice cereal

Directions:

1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted and well-blended. Cook 2 minutes longer, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

2. Add cereal. Stir until well coated.

3. Using a buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly and firmly in buttered 13 x 9-inch pan. Cut into 2 x 2-inch squares when cool.

Ingredients
  

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 4 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 5 cups crisp rice cereal

Instructions
 

  • Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until melted and well-blended. Cook 2 minutes longer, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  • Add cereal. Stir until well coated.
  • Using a buttered spatula or waxed paper, press mixture evenly and firmly in buttered 13 x 9-inch pan. Cut into 2 x 2-inch squares when cool.

Baked Garlic, Egg, Chicken

To make this Baked Garlic, Egg, Chicken, You’ll need the following Ingredients:

Ingredients:

1 egg yolk

6 cloves garlic, chopped

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves

1 cup dry bread crumbs

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

6 tablespoons butter

1 tablespoon dried parsley

1 tablespoon garlic powder

1/2 tablespoon salt

1 tablespoon ground black pepper

Directions:

1. In a glass dish, beat egg yolk with garlic. Place chicken in egg mixture, and turn to coat. Cover dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight if possible.

2. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).

3. Melt butter and pour into the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish. Mix together the bread crumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Dip marinated chicken in crumb mixture. Place coated chicken in a baking dish, and pour remaining egg mixture over.

4. Bake in preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes on each side, or until chicken is no longer pink and juices run clear.
