Yummy Cabbage Beef Soup

To make this Yummy Cabbage Beef Soup, You’ll need the following Ingredients:

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 pound ground beef

1/2 large onion, chopped

5 cups chopped cabbage

2 (16 ounces) cans red kidney beans, drained

2 cups of water

24 ounces tomato sauce

1 1/2 teaspoons ground cumin

4 beef bouillon cubes

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon pepper

Directions:

1. Heat oil in a large stockpot over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and onion, and cook until beef is well browned and crumbled. Drain fat, and transfer beef to a slow cooker. Add cabbage, kidney beans, water, tomato sauce, bouillon, cumin, salt, and pepper. Stir to dissolve bouillon, and cover.

2. Cook on high setting for 4 hours, or on low setting for 6 to 8 hours. Stir occasionally. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 pound ground beef

SUPREME STRAWBERRY TOPPING

To make this Supreme Strawberry Topping, You’ll need the following Ingredients:

Ingredients:

1 pint fresh strawberries

1/3 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

1. Wash strawberries and remove stems; cut large berries in half or roughly chop them.

2. Combine strawberries, sugar, and vanilla in a saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring occasionally. The mixture will sizzle for a while, but then the juice will begin to form. Continue stirring; mash a few strawberries with a wooden spoon or heat-proof spatula to help produce the syrup. Cook until sauce thickens, about 15 minutes.

3. Remove from heat. In a blender, puree about 1/3 of the sauce, then mix back into remaining topping. Store in refrigerator.

Fabulous Beef Tenderloin

To make this Fabulous Beef Tenderloin, You’ll need the following Ingredients:

Ingredients:

1 (3 pounds) beef tenderloin roast

3/4 cup soy sauce

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

2. Place roast into a shallow, glass baking dish. Pour soy sauce and melted butter over the tenderloin.

3. Bake in preheated oven for 10 minutes, then turn the roast over and continue cooking 35 to 40 minutes, basting occasionally, until the internal temperature of the roast is at 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium. DELICIOUS OLD CHARLESTON STYLE SHRIMP AND GRITS

To make this Delicious Old Charleston Style Shrimp and Grits, You’ll need the following Ingredients:

Ingredients:

1 cup coarsely ground grits

2 teaspoons salt

3 cups of water

2 cups half-and-half

1 pinch cayenne pepper, or to taste

1 lemon, juiced

5 slices bacon

1 pound andouille sausage, cut into 1/4-inch slices

1 green bell pepper, chopped

1/4 cup butter

1 red bell pepper, chopped

1 yellow bell pepper, chopped

Salt to taste

1 cup chopped onion

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1 cup chicken broth

2 pounds uncooked shrimp, peeled and deveined

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese

Directions:

1. Bring water, grits, and salt to a boil in a heavy saucepan with a lid. Stir in half-and-half and simmer until grits are thickened and tender, 15 to 20 minutes. Set aside and keep warm.

2. Sprinkle shrimp with salt and cayenne pepper; drizzle with lemon juice. Set aside in a bowl.

3. Place andouille sausage slices in a large skillet over medium heat; fry sausage until browned, 5 to 8 minutes. Remove skillet from heat.

4. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat, turning occasionally until evenly browned, about 10 minutes. Retain bacon drippings in skillet. Transfer bacon slices to paper towels, let cool and crumble.

5. Cook and stir green, red, and yellow bell peppers, onion, and garlic in the bacon drippings until the onion is translucent about 8 minutes.

6. Stir shrimp and cooked vegetables into the andouille sausage and mix to combine.

7. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat; stir in flour to make a smooth paste. Turn heat to low and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture is medium brown in color, 8 to 10 minutes. Watch carefully, the mixture burns easily.

8. Pour the butter-flour mixture into the skillet with andouille sausage, shrimp, and vegetables. Place the skillet over medium heat and pour in chicken broth, bacon and Worcestershire sauce, cooking and stirring until the sauce thickens and the shrimp become opaque and bright pink, about 8 minutes.

9. Just before serving, mix sharp Cheddar cheese into grits until melted and grits are creamy and light yellow. Serve shrimp mixture over cheese grits.

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a baking sheet with aluminium foil. Arrange bacon on a baking sheet in a single layer with the edges touching or slightly overlapping.
  • Bake in preheated oven to desired degree of doneness, 10 to 15 minutes. Remove bacon from the baking sheet with tongs or a fork, and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.

Classic French Toast

To make this Classic French Toast, You’ll need the following Ingredients:

Ingredients:

6 thick slices bread

2 eggs

2/3 cup of milk

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Salt to taste

Directions:

1. Beat together egg, milk, salt, desired spices and vanilla.

2. Heat a lightly oiled griddle or skillet over medium-high heat.

3. Dunk each slice of bread in egg mixture, soaking both sides. Place in pan, and cook on both sides until golden. Serve hot.
