This casserole is indeed every husband’s delight! Lasagna marries beef stroganoff. It’s perfect if you cannot decide which to make or if you are craving both! The best part is, this casserole is a breeze to make using only a few simple ingredients!
Ingredients
12 oz. package of medium egg noodles, cooked
1 lb hamburger meat
1 envelope of thick and zesty dry spaghetti sauce mix
24 oz. jar of spaghetti sauce, any flavour
16 oz. carton of sour cream
16 oz. bag of shredded cheese (cheddar, Colby-jack, mozzarella, etc. Feel free to also mix and match the flavours to equal 16 ounces)
1 tsp garlic salt
How to make The Best Husband’s Delight Casserole
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees. Ready a 9 x 13-inch casserole dish. Grease and set aside.
Step 2: Cook the hamburger meat with a tsp of garlic salt until no longer pink. When done, drain the excess grease from the pan.
Step 3: Add a jar of spaghetti, the packer of dry spaghetti sauce, and the browned hamburger meat in a glass mixing bowl. Mix well until combined.
Step 4: Spread 1/3 of the cooked noodles onto the prepared casserole dish. Over the noodles, spread around 1/3 of the meat mixture, then 1/3 of the sour cream and sprinkle with half of the cheese.
Step 5: Repeat the layers ending with the cheese.
Step 6: Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 minutes.
Step 7: When done, remove from the oven and serve right away. Enjoy!
Notes:
For this recipe, you can use or combine your preferred cheese. Just make sure to make 16 ounces. An example: mix 8 ounces of cheddar with 8 ounces of Colby Jack. You can also combine 8-ounces of Mozzarella with 8 ounces of Colby Jack.
Alternately, you can use 16 ounces of your favourite cheese.
