A cinch to throw together, super delicious and healthy Split Pea Soup made easy in a slow cooker. Pair it with some crusty bread for an easy meal that your family will enjoy.

This budget-friendly, family-loving soup calls for only a few ingredients. Dump them all in your trusty slow cooker and leave. Surely a no-fuss soup recipe that you can make whenever. Use your leftover ham, change things up a bit by switching the seasoning and adding thyme, parsley, and rosemary. Garnish this even with some crumbled bacon before serving. Or if you don’t have leftover ham? You can use pre-diced ham from the meat department instead. This recipe is pretty simple, super straightforward, and perfect if you are on a budget. It’s fantastic, affordable, delicious, and healthy. Everything that you are asking for in one hefty bowl! By all odds, this easy Split Pea Soup recipe is a must and to keep!

1 pound dry split peas, rinsed and drained

1 meaty ham bone OR 2 c. ham, diced

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 carrots, chopped

2 stalks celery, chopped

1 bay leaf

Salt and pepper, to taste

6-8 c. chicken stock or water

HOW TO MAKE SLOW COOKER SPLIT PEA SOUP
