INGREDIENTS
1 leftover hambone
2 c. leftover diced ham
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 onion, diced
3 carrots, peeled and diced
2 stalks celery, diced
2 (15-oz.) cans white beans, drained and rinsed
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp dried rosemary
2 bay leaves
Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley leaves
HOW TO MAKE SLOW COOKER HAM AND WHITE BEAN SOUP
Step 1: Into a 6-quart slow cooker, add the hambone, ham, garlic, onion, carrots, celery, beans, oregano, rosemary, and bay leaves. Pour in 6 cups of water and stir until combined. To taste, season with salt and pepper.
Step 2: Cover the slow cooker, set it on low, and cook for 7 to 8 hours. Or on high for 3 to 4 hours.
Step 3: Discard the hambone.
Step 4: If desired, garnish with parsley. Enjoy immediately.

For this recipe, you can substitute the hambone with black forest ham.
