I was so happy to find this recipe. I used to boil the potatoes on a stovetop and ended up heating the entire kitchen. But not anymore! Thank you to my trusted friend, the slow cooker. Boiling potatoes has never been easy.
You just have to make a bit of an effort to pierce the potatoes with a fork, season, wrap with foil, and in the slow cooker, they go. After that, you just let the slow cooker do all the work for you. Just sit back and relax. Super easy, surely a no-fuss, with little work, you’ll have baked potatoes for dinner. And how long you sit them in the slow cooker depends on the size of the potatoes.
Ingredients
4 baking potatoes, well-scrubbed
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
kosher salt to taste
4 sheets of aluminium foil
How to make Slow Cooker Baked Potatoes
Step 1: Using a fork, prick the potatoes a couple of times.
Step 2: With olive oil, rub the potatoes and sprinkle with salt.
Step 3: Then wrap the potatoes tightly in foil.
Step 4: Into a slow cooker, place the potatoes.
Step 5: Cover the slow cooker with a lid and set it on high. Cook the potatoes for 4 1/2 to 5 hours. Or for 7 1/2 to 8 hours on low until tender.
