Sensational Chicken Carbonara Recipe

by Rebecca November 8, 2021

YIELD: 6

This hearty pasta dish has everything I love from creamy Alfredo, chicken, and bacon. I am pretty sure you’ll love this creamy pasta. It’s a winner recipe for keeps!

Ingredients

2 tablespoons Butter

5 strips bacon cooked and diced.

2 Chicken breasts -Grilled, Chicken striped up

1 small box bowtie pasta

3 cloves Garlic Fresh minced

1 c. Chicken broth

3/4 c. milk

1/4 c. Heavy cream

3 tablespoons flour

2 tablespoons parsley

1-2 c. Petite Sweet Peas (optional)

3/4 cup Parmesan Shavings

Salt & Pepper to taste

How to make Sensational Chicken Carbonara

Step 1: Set aside 5 cooked strips of bacon.

Step 2: In 2 tbsp butter, cook 2 pieces of chicken breasts. To taste, season with salt and pepper. Set aside once done.

Step 3: Following the package directions, cook the bowtie noodles. Heat the petite sweet peas.

Step 4: To make the sauce, saute 3 cloves of freshly minced garlic in a pan. Add the milk along with the heavy cream, chicken broth, and flour. Stir well until smooth and cook over low heat until thickened.

Step 5: To the pan, add the Parmesan shavings. You can add a bit of chicken broth to the sauce if it gets too thick.

Step 6: Once the bowtie pasta is done, drain and add to the sauce. Toss to coat the noodles completely. Then, add the parsley and season with salt and pepper.

Step 7: Slice the chicken breasts and dice the bacon. Mix the two, then add to the sauce along with the warmed petite sweet peas. Toss until well mixed.

Notes:

Divide the carbonara into 6 equal servings for Weight Watchers measuring. Each serving is equivalent to 6 points plus for Weight Watchers, not including the noodles.

The peas in this recipe are optional. You can omit them if desired.

You can use a cup of heavy cream for the thicker, creamy sauce in place of part cream and part milk.
