This is one of my go-to and most favourite side dishes. Simple, easy, and quick to make. A delicious casserole with sausages, green beans, and potatoes seasoned perfectly.
Ingredients
1 1/2 pounds sausage kielbasa or smoked sausage, sliced 1/4-inch thick
2 pounds baby creamer potatoes, washed, sliced in half
2 15-ounces cans of green beans, drained
1/8 c. vegetable oil
1/4 c. butter
1 c. onions, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon Slap Ya Mama® seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1/4 c. water
How to make Sausage Green Bean Potato Casserole
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees.
Step 2: Using a non-stick spray, grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Step 3: Wash and slice in half the creamer potatoes, then add the pieces to a resealable gallon size baggie.
Step 4: To the baggie, add the oil, seasonings, pepper, and red pepper flakes and shake well to coat.
Step 5: Add the sausage and water to a large frying pan. Cook the sausage over medium-high heat until brown and most of the water has evaporated.
Step 6: Take the sausage from the pan and allow it to cool. Add the sausage to the baggie once cool enough.
Step 7: In a frying pan, melt the butter. Once the butter has melted, add the onions and garlic to the pan and cook until the onions are translucent.
Step 8: Allow the onions and garlic to cool for a couple of minutes, then add them to the baggie. Shake well to mix.
Step 9: At this point, add the green beans to the baggie, shake well, then transfer everything into the prepared baking dish.
Step 10: Tent with foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
Step 11: Serve and enjoy!
