This is a pretty heavy meal, super satisfying, and delicious! Easy to throw together with pantry staple ingredients. Quick tip, you can boil the potatoes before pressing them down into the baking pan. You can even slice them thinly to ensure the perfect consistency. This Potato Lasagna is so perfect for the crowd, bring this to a potluck, or serve to guests. Want to swap the ham with let’s say ground pork or beef? Do so because it’s going to be fantastic!

Ingredients

5 potatoes, peeled

2 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

8 slices ham

7 slices mozzarella cheese

5 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

¼ c. fresh parsley (10 grams), chopped

2 c. shredded mozzarella cheese (200 grams)

1 c. heavy cream (240 ml)

2 Eggs

How to make Potato Lasagna

Step 1: Into ¼ inch (½ cm) slices, slice the peeled potatoes. With salt and pepper, season the pieces and toss to ensure they are evenly coated. Then, into the bottom of a greased, square baking pan, evenly press the potatoes in a single layer.

Step 2: Over the potatoes, evenly place the slices of ham, then half of the sliced cheese. On top, add another layer of potatoes followed by the rest of the ham, then the sliced cheese.

Step 3: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F or 180 degrees C.

Step 4: On top of the sliced cheese, sprinkle the bacon and parsley. Add the last layer of the potatoes, sprinkle with the shredded cheese, pressing it down to an even layer.

Step 5: Whisk the heavy cream and eggs in a small bowl, then pour this over the shredded cheese.

Step 6: Place the dish in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 40 minutes until the cheese is deep golden brown.

Step 7: Remove from the oven when done and allow the Potato Lasagna to cool for a bit before slicing.
