4 boneless pork chops
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese grated
2 tablespoons Italian seasoned breadcrumbs
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon dried parsley
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
2 tablespoons olive oil
How to make Parmesan Crusted Pork Chops
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 450 degrees.
Step 2: On a pie plate, combine the Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, paprika, parsley, garlic powder, and pepper.
Step 3: In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Swirl to coat the pan.
Step 4: In the bread crumb mixture, dip the pork chops, patting to make the mixture stick if needed.
Step 5: Cook the pork chops into the heated oil for about 2 minutes per side until golden brown. Transfer the cooked pork chops to a glass baking dish. Alternately, if using an oven-safe pan, leave the pork chops in it.
Step 6: Place inside the preheated oven and bake the pork chops for about 8 to 10 minutes until the internal temperature of the meat reached 145 degrees.
Step 7: Take the chops out of the oven and let them rest for at least 5 minutes.
NOTES:
What temperature should pork chops be cooked to?
Insert a meat thermometer into the middle of the pork chop to check the temperature. If it reads 145 degrees F, the chops are perfect!
Are pink pork chops safe to eat?
Yes as long as the internal temperature is at 145 degrees F.
Why are my pork chops chewy?
Overcooked pork chops are dry and chewy. Make sure to cook them to just 145 degrees F for a juicy and tender chop.
