Made with readily available ingredients all cooked in a single pan in no more than twenty minutes. Serve this lip-smacking sauce with Fettuccine for a no-fuss dinner that everybody will enjoy!
Pasta is life! At home, everybody loves pasta. I’ve tried lots of different sauces, work with all forms of pasta noodles. This recipe, I found not long ago. A friend sent me a link, she said she’s vouching for this recipe so I quickly gave this a try. It’s one of those sauces I’ve tried before but better! My family loves the simplicity of the sauce. Not overwhelming, just perfect. Included this to my family’s favourite and they’re stirred!
Ingredients
6 tbsp butter, high quality
1 tbsp garlic, minced
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1.5 c. heavy cream
1.5 c. milk, any kind
½ c. Parmesan cheese, grated and at room temperature
½ c. Romano cheese, grated and at room temperature
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 pound Fettuccine
Parsley, to garnish
How to make Olive Garden Alfredo Sauce
Step 1: According to package directions, cook the fettuccine.
Step 2: Meanwhile, start preparing the sauce. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once the butter has melted, add the garlic and cook for about a minute.
Step 3: To the pan, whisk in the flour, then slowly add in the heavy cream and milk while continuously whisking. When the sauce starts to bubble, adjust the heat to low and simmer until the sauce begins to thicken. Gradually sprinkle in the cheese, stirring constantly.
Step 4: When the pasta is done, drain and toss it into the sauce. Before serving, garnish with some chopped parsley. Enjoy!
