INGREDIENTS

1 lb ground beef

1 lb Italian Sausage

16 oz. spaghetti

3-4 cloves garlic minced

1 medium onion diced (or ½ c.)

1 c. cottage cheese

2 24-oz. jars spaghetti sauce

¼ c. sour cream

3 c. shredded mozzarella cheese divided

8 oz. cream cheese softened

Chopped parsley for garnish optional

8 tbsp butter cut in half (4 tbsp in each half) Each 4 tbsp cut into slices

How to make Million Dollar Spaghetti

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.

Step 2: Following the package directions, cook the spaghetti for about 8 minutes until al dente. When done, drain the noodles and return to the pot. Add 4 tbsp sliced butter and stir into the spaghetti.

Step 3: Into the cooked noodles, stir a jar of spaghetti sauce and set aside.

Step 4: Cook the ground beef, Italian sausage, and onions in a large skillet until the meat is browned. Add the garlic and continue to cook for an additional minute. When done, drain any excess grease. Into the meat mixture, pour the rest of the spaghetti sauce and set aside.

Step 5: Combine the cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, and 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese in a medium-sized bowl and set aside.

Step 6: Place the rest of the 4 tbsp butter slices in the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch deep dish or 10 x 14-inch lasagne pan, then spread half of the spaghetti noodles. On top, spread the cheese mixture, then add the rest of the spaghetti noodles over it. Pour the meat sauce over and sprinkle with the rest of the ½ cups of mozzarella cheese.

Step 7: Place in the preheated oven and bake the casserole for about 30 to 40 minutes. Remove from the oven when done and allow it to sit for 5 to 10 minutes, then serve. Enjoy!
