Italian Sausage, Peppers and Onions and Recipe

This is one of the best recipes in my collection. Seriously good and super easy and quick to throw together! It’s perfect if you are looking for picnic meal ideas or cookouts. This dish is made with Italian sausage, peppers, and onions and packed with flavours!

Whenever we plan to go out for a picnic, this dish never fails to let in our top pick. It tastes crazy good, and it smells amazing! Our meat-eaters are sure to enjoy every bite of this flavorful dish. The meat is cooked with onions and peppers to deliver the best flavours!

For this recipe, all you need are olive oil, green peppers, onions, and sausage. But you are welcome to experiment and swap the other ingredients. You can use both green and red peppers if desired, especially if you enjoy the sweetness from the red peppers. As for the sausage, you can substitute it with chicken sausage or turkey sausage. I suggest using organic brands for a healthier take. The point is, this dish is going to be amazing no matter what! Not only that this dish tastes superb, but the simple prep and ingredients hold this recipe to the top spot!

Ingredients

olive oil

2-3 green peppers chopped

1 onion chopped in large chunks

1 package sausage (or more)

How to make Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions

Step 1: Thoroughly wash the peppers, then cut them into strips.

Step 2: Fry the pepper strips in olive oil for about 5 to 10 minutes. Add the onion and cook further. When done, set the pepper strips and onions aside.

Step 3: In the same skillet, add the sausage and fry until brown and completely cooked.

Step 4: In a baking pan, mix everything. Place in a 375 degrees oven and bake for about 10 minutes.
