This Italian sausage, peppers, and onions recipe are my mom’s most favoured recipe. She enjoys Italian dishes so much that my dad’s gift to her for their Anniversary a year before the pandemic was a trip to Italy! My mom was super thrilled and kept sending us pictures of their adventure (a big part of it was eating at different restaurants!). My mom prepared a list of restaurants and food/wine she wanted to try. She’s very proud because they were able to eat at ten restaurants from her long list. She admitted that it’s way too expensive to try them all, so she had to pick just ten for her list. She had a hard time picking which is her favourite because she said that she loved them all! When they got home, she tried customizing the dishes she eat in Italy. One of her favourites is this simple Italian sausage, peppers, and onions that are perfect with pasta. This is also great to serve at parties and holidays. You can enjoy this as a side dish if desired.
You will never be disappointed because this Italian sausage, peppers, and onions have tons of flavours! The best part is, this requires only four ingredients (onion, green peppers, olive oil, and sausage)! You can easily throw this together in under thirty minutes with any fuss.

olive oil
1 onion chopped in large chunks
2-3 green peppers chopped
1 package sausage (adjust to your preference)
How to make Italian Sausage, Peppers, and Onions
Step 1: Thoroughly wash the peppers, then slice them into strips.
Step 2: Fry the peppers in olive oil for approximately 5 to 10 minutes.
Step 3: Add the onions and set the peppers aside. Add the sausage and continue frying until brown and completely cooked.
Step 4: In a baking pan, combine everything. Place in the oven and bake at 375 degrees for about 10 minutes.
