This deliciously amazing Italian Sausage and Peppers is my family’s favourite meal! A classic meal that anyone can whip up in a cinch. You can enjoy this over rice or pasta, even stuff this into hoagie rolls. Either way, this is going to be a winner meal!
This Italian Sausage and Peppers does not only tastes superb, but this looks super appetizing, too! The flavour-packed pieces of Italian sausage tossed with diced tomatoes, garlic, oregano, basil, a mountain of red and green bell pepper, and onion is surely to die for! Enjoy this very comforting meal all year round without a fuss.

Ingredients
1 red pepper, thinly sliced
2 sweet onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp Vegetable oil
1 package Johnsonville Naturals Mild Italian Sausage
1 green pepper, thinly sliced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 (14.5-oz.) can diced tomatoes
1 tbsp tomato paste
1/2 tsp dried basil
1/2 tsp dried oregano
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
How to make Italian Sausage and Peppers
Step 1: In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the sausages to the pan and cook until no longer pink. When done, set the sausage aside. Keep in mind that you do not need to completely cook the sausage.
Step 2: In the same pan, add the onion and peppers. Cook until softened over medium heat. Then, add the garlic and continue to cook for a minute more.
Step 3: Into about 1 to 1 1/2 inch pieces, slice the sausage.
Step 4: Place the sausage back in the pan with the rest of the ingredients and cook for additional 5 to 10 minutes or until the sausage is completely cooked and the sauce has thickened.
Step 5: Once done, serve the Italian sausage and peppers on hoagie rolls. Enjoy!
