How to make Honey Garlic Chicken Wings
Wings:
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees.
Step 2: Using paper towels, completely pat dry the wings.
Step 3: In a large bowl, place the rub ingredients (salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder). Stir until combined. Add the wings and toss to coat, then brush with olive oil.
Step 4: With foil, line a baking sheet. On top, place a parchment paper, then in a single layer, arrange the chicken wings. You can use two baking sheets if needed. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 35 minutes, turning the wings after 20 minutes.
Sauce:
Step 5: While baking the chicken wings ready the sauce. In a small pan, combine the sauce ingredients. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once boiling, decrease the heat and simmer the sauce for approximately 10 minutes until slightly thickened and the sauce coats the back of a spoon.
To Assemble:
Step 6: Remove the wings from the oven when done and toss with the sauce. Resume baking for 10 minutes more, flipping on the other side after 5 minutes.
Step 7: Set the oven to broil and broil the wings for a couple of minutes.
Step 8: Let the wings cool for at least 10 minutes. As it cools, the sauce thickens, stirring the wings every a couple of minutes to coat in the sauce.
Step 9: Enjoy the wings with your preferred dipping sauce garnished with sesame seeds.
