Honey Garlic Chicken Breast

This is a very quick, super easy chicken recipe you can make using only a few ingredients! If you are looking for another simple, economical, and fast dinner idea, then you have to give this Honey Garlic Chicken Breast a try soon! This instantly became one of my staple, favourites, and go-to busy weeknight meal idea. What’s great is you can even throw this together using any protein such as beef, pork, lamb, shrimp/prawns, even tofu!

Ingredients

3 1/2 tablespoons (50g) unsalted butter (or 2 1/2 tablespoons olive oil)

2 garlic cloves, minced

500g / 1 pound chicken breast, boneless and skinless (2 pieces)

1 tablespoon soy sauce, light or all-purpose

1 1/2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar (or white or other clear vinegar)

1/3 c honey (or maple syrup)

1/4 c flour

Salt and pepper

How to make Honey Garlic Chicken Breast

Step 1: Horizontally slice each chicken breast into two. Season them with salt and pepper.

Step 2: Add the flour to a mixing bowl, then add the chicken slice to it. Toss until well coated.

Step 3: Place a large skillet on the stove and turn the heat to medium.

Step 4: Set aside 1 teaspoon of the butter, then add the rest into the skillet and allow it to melt.

Step 5: Add the chicken slices and cook each side for a few minutes until they turn golden brown.

Step 6: Reduce the heat to medium, then move the chicken slices to one side of the skillet.

Step 7: Add the reserved butter and allow it to melt.

Step 8: Add the garlic and saute until aromatic.

Step 9: Add the honey, soy sauce, and vinegar. Stir until well blended. Allow the mixture to simmer until the texture becomes thick.

Step 10: Toss the chicken and the sauce until well mixed.

Step 11: Serve and enjoy!
