Honey Butter Skillet Corn

by Rebecca November 3, 2021

Prep Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 10 mins | Servings: 6 side-dish servings

This is the simplest side dish you can make! Made of frozen corn, honey, butter, and cream cheese all cook in a single skillet. It is an incredibly delicious, creamy, and sweet side that’s ready in fifteen minutes!

This skillet corn is so good no one can resist it! It pairs so well with just about anything. Do not be fooled. This might be the simplest side, but it exceeds all expectations. Not to mention, it is super budget-friendly as this needs only simple pantry ingredients. It is also family and kid-friendly. So if you need an easy and quick side, you are in the right place! All you have to do is to throw everything in your skillet pan, stir, and tada! You’ve got yourself a tasty side!

Ingredients

2 oz. cream cheese cut into chunks

2 tbsp butter(for this recipe, I use salted)

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

2 tbsp honey

1 bag (16 ounces) frozen corn

How to make Honey Butter Skillet Corn

Step 1: Add the butter and honey to a skillet pan. Melt the butter over medium-high heat. Add the frozen corn to the pan once the butter has melted and cooked for about 5 to 8 minutes while stirring often until completely cooked.

Step 2: To the pan, add the cream cheese. Season with salt and pepper. Stir well. Continue to cook for another 3 to 5 minutes, stirring often.

Step 3: Remove from the heat when done and serve the honey butter skillet corn right away. For any leftovers, keep them in a container and store them in the fridge.

Notes:

For this recipe, my go-to has been gold n’ white corn, but you can use any frozen corn if desired. Just make sure to use 1 pound or 16 ounces bag of frozen corn.
