2 medium-sized pork chops

2 cloves garlic (minced)

1 tbsp fresh thyme (chopped)

1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

salt and pepper

How to make Garlic Butter Baked Pork Chops

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F.

Step 2: Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper, then set aside.

Step 3: Place the butter, thyme, and garlic in a small bowl. Mix well until everything is incorporated and set aside.

Step 4: Heat the olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add the pork chops to the skillet once the oil is very hot and sear for approximately 2 minutes on each side until golden.

Step 5: Over the pork chops, pour the garlic butter mixture. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake the pork chops for about 10 to 14 minutes or until their internal temperature reached 145 degrees F. Note that the cooking time of the pork chops varies depending on the thickness of the meat.

Step 6: When done, take the pork chops from the oven. Spoon some of the butter left in the skillet over the pork chops. Serve and enjoy!

Notes:

To check the internal temperature of the pork chop, insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the meat.
