Ingredients
2 cloves garlic – minced
2 medium-sized pork chops (I recommend pork chops from ButcherBox as it’s heritage breed pork)
1 tbsp fresh thyme – chopped
4 tbsp melted butter – use ghee if you’re doing whole30.
1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
salt and pepper
How to make Garlic Butter Baked Pork Chops
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees F. Sprinkle the pork chops with salt and pepper. Set aside.
Step 2: Place the butter, thyme, and garlic in a small bowl. Mix well until blended and set aside.
Step 3: Heat the olive oil in a cast-iron skillet over medium heat. Add the pork chops to the hot skillet and sear for about 2 minutes on each side until golden.
Step 4: Over the pork chops, pour the garlic butter mixture. Bake the pork chops in the preheated oven for about 10 to 14 minutes or until the internal temperature of the meat reached 145 degrees F. The cooking time of the pork chops depends on their thickness.
Step 5: When done, take the chops out of the oven and spoon the butter sauce in the skillet over the pork chops.
Step 6: Serve and enjoy!
