MILLION-DOLLAR CHICKEN CASSEROLE

I guess this was called a Million-Dollar Chicken Casserole because it tastes luxurious! The name gave justice to the indeed! In just 40 minutes of preparation and cooking time, you will surely enjoy this dish! I listed some notes at the bottom so make sure to read them for some tips. Enjoy!

Ingredients:

1 (10.5 ounces) can cream of chicken soup

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

½ c sour cream

1 sleeve of Ritz crackers, crushed

4- ounces cream cheese, room temperature

¼ teaspoon dried onion powder

5 tablespoons butter, melted

4½ c chopped cooked chicken

1 c cottage cheese

Directions:

Prepare the oven and preheat it to 175 degrees C or 350 degrees F.

Apply cooking spray to the inside of a 9×9-inch baking dish.

In a large mixing bowl, add cream of chicken soup, cream cheese, chicken, onion powder, cottage cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, and sour cream. Stir everything until well incorporated.

Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it evenly.

In another mixing bowl, add butter and crushed crackers. Stir to combine. Scatter the mixture on top of the chicken mixture in the baking dish.

Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake the casserole for about 40 minutes or until done.

Remove from the oven and allow it to rest for a few minutes at room temperature.

Serve and enjoy!

Notes:

For this recipe, you can use rotisserie chicken.

Make sure that the cream cheese is at room temperature before using it.

You can freeze this and cook it in the coming days.

Place any leftovers in an airtight container, then put them in the fridge. Reheat for a few minutes before serving again.

Feel free to use gluten-free cream of chicken soup for this recipe.
