Daddy’s Baked Hamburgers

by Rebecca October 27, 2021

Prep Time: 5 mins | Cook Time: 12 mins | Total Time: 17 mins | Servings: 8 burgers

I love these baked hamburgers! They are ready in a breeze and so easy to put together. I never have to miss grilled burgers because of this amazing recipe! My dad loves to make hamburger patties, and this recipe is his new obsession. Taste seriously great, super juicy with melty cheese on top. I cannot ask for anything more!

Do not underestimate this crazy easy recipe. If you prefer grilled, then you have not tried these baked hamburgers. It’s as good if not better than our usual hamburger without heating the grill. There are no fancy mix-ins, we are just keeping things simple here.

Ingredients

8 tbsp butter divided

1 lb. 85% lean ground beef

4 small sourdough rolls or ciabatta sliced

8 slices medium Cheddar cheese

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

freshly ground black pepper

2 tsp garlic salt

How to make Daddy’s Baked Hamburgers

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Set it to broil and adjust the baking rack in the middle. Line a baking sheet with foil.

Step 2: Into 8 equal portions, divide the ground beef. On the prepared baking sheet, place the rolls face-up, then shape each into a patty of a hamburger.

Step 3: Score the top of the burger patty, crisscrossing twice. On each patty, drizzle the Worcestershire sauce and sprinkle with garlic salt, and pepper. With a tbsp pat of butter, top each patty.

Step 4: Put the baking sheet into the prepared oven and broil the patties for about 10 minutes for medium-rare. Remove the sheet from the oven and top each patty with a slice of cheese. Return to the oven and cook for another 2 minutes.

Step 5: Serve the baked hamburgers immediately when done. Enjoy!

Notes:

I prefer my baked hamburger more well done, so I leave them in the oven for a few minutes more, then I top each with cheese.
