These Rolled and fried taquitos are a game-changer for me. My family loves these so much that we make them twice even thrice a week! Filled with chicken, cream cheese, salsa, and spinach, rolled and fried to perfection, serve these as an appetizer or even a main dish with some Mexican rice or salsa.
A no-fuss recipe that you can prep in five minutes and ready in fifteen minutes. Even the kids enjoy helping. Very similar to chicken tacos, both delicious, and a crowd favourite. I am pretty sure your family will love these Chicken Taquitos (aka flautas) as we do!

Ingredients
3 c. chicken cooked and shredded
6 ounces cream cheese softened
1/3 c. sour cream
1/2 c. salsa
1 1/2 c. Colby jack cheese
1 1/2 c. baby spinach chopped and stems removed
12 6” corn tortillas
vegetable or canola oil for frying
HOW TO MAKE CHICKEN TAQUITOS
Step 1: In a saucepan, heat half-inch oil over medium heat.
Step 2: Combine the chicken, cream cheese, sour cream, salsa, co-jack, and spinach in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 3: In the meantime, to the centre of a tortilla, add a few tbsp chicken/cream cheese mixture, spread, and roll-up.
Step 4: Using tongs, add the tortilla seam side down into the hot oil and cook until both sides turned golden brown.
Step 5: Do the same for the remaining tortilla and chicken/cream cheese mixture
Step 6: Transfer the cooked taquitos on paper towels to the drain.
Step 7: Enjoy the Chicken Taquitos warm.
