It’s cheesy, it’s heavenly, and freaking delicious. A crossover between Scalloped Potatoes and Au Gratin Potatoes. I believe no one can say no to this ultimate goodness!

INGREDIENTS
3 tbsp butter
4 russet potatoes, sliced into 1/4” slices
salt and pepper to taste
½ tsp kosher salt
2 c. whole milk
1 onion, sliced into rings
1½ c. shredded Cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
How to make Cheesy Scalloped Potatoes
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees F or 200 degrees C.
Step 2: Grease an 8 x 8-inch casserole dish.
Step 3: In the prepared baking dish, arrange the potatoes and onions. To taste, season with salt and pepper.
Step 4: Mel the butter in a medium-size saucepan over medium heat. Once the butter has melted, stir in the flour and salt and keep whisking for approximately 1 minute. Pour in the milk, stirring well. Continue to cook until the mixture has thickened.
Step 5: Add the cheese and keep stirring for about 30 to 60 seconds or until completely melted and smooth.
Step 6: Over the potatoes, pour the cheese. Tent the casserole using aluminium foil. Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for about 1 1/2 hours or 90 minutes.
Step 7: Shift the oven setting to broil and broil the casserole for about 5 minutes for a guaranteed crisp topping.
Step 8: Serve and enjoy!
