This biscuit is literally swimming in butter! The goodness of butter penetrated the biscuit making every bite a delight. Quick and easy to whip up with just five main ingredients. Perfect to serve with any meal either for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

Soft biscuit, moist inside, and flaky outside – these simple biscuits are to die for! I enjoy these homemade biscuits with a little spread of jam or jelly on top for breakfast even snacks and pair these with any meal for lunch or dinner. You will never go wrong with these delicious Butter Swim Biscuits. A staple at home and my family’s favourite. This pretty amazing recipe is sure a must and a keeper! Something I can never leave without.

Ingredients

2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour

2 c. buttermilk

1 stick butter

4 teaspoons baking powder

4 teaspoons sugar

2 teaspoons salt

How to make Butter Swim Biscuits

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 450 degrees.

Step 2: In a medium-sized bowl, mix the dry ingredients. Add in the buttermilk and combine until you have a moist dough.

Step 3: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter, then pour this into an 8 x 8 or 9 x 9-inches baking dish. Ensure to use a not too small or shallow pan to make sure that the butter does not drip out while baking.

Step 4: Over the melted butter, place the dough and evenly spread it across the pan using a spatula until the dough touches the sides. Then, into 9 even squares, cut the unbaked dough. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 to 25 minutes until the top is golden brown.

Step 5: When done, remove from the oven and serve for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Pair this with any meal. Enjoy!
