INGREDIENTS
1 lb. flank steak or skirt steak thinly sliced against the grain
2 tbsp oil divided
1 tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
4 cloves garlic minced
3 packets ramen noodles seasoning packet discarded (3 oz. each)
3 c. broccoli
Sauce:
3/4 c. low sodium beef broth
1/4 c. water
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tbsp ginger minced
2 tbsp cornstarch
2 tbsp rice wine vinegar
6 tbsp oyster sauce
1/2-1 tsp Sriracha depending on how spicy you would like it
sesame seeds for garnish if desired
6 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
2 tsp sesame oil
HOW TO MAKE BEEF AND BROCCOLI RAMEN
Step 1: To a medium bowl, add the steak and toss with 1 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar. Place in the fridge to marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
Step 2: In the meantime, whisk the sauce ingredients (beef broth, water, brown sugar, ginger, cornstarch, rice wine vinegar, oyster sauce, Sriracha, sesame seeds, soy sauce, and sesame oil) in a medium bowl.
Step 3: Following the package directions, cook the ramen noodles. Set aside when done.
Step 4: To a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp oil. Once the oil is hot, add the broccoli to the skillet and saute over medium heat until they are tender but still crisp. Set the broccoli aside when done.
Step 5: To the pan, add the rest of the oil. Add the beef once the pan is almost smoking, and saute the beef for about a minute or two. Then, toss in the garlic and continue to saute for a minute more.
Step 6: Now, add the broccoli and the sauce, then stir and simmer for another minute or two until the sauce has thickened.
Step 7: Add the noodles and toss to coat.
Step 8: Remove from the heat when done and serve the beef and broccoli ramen right away garnished with sesame seeds. Enjoy!
