Baked Pork Chops

This delicious meal is so easy to prepare. Pork chops coated in garlic and herb butter and baked to perfection! Enjoy with some mashed potatoes and your favourite vegetable, these baked Pork Chops always are a huge hit!

INGREDIENTS

4 bone-in pork chops

2 tsp olive oil

salt and pepper to taste

4 tbsp butter

2 tsp minced garlic

2 tsp brown sugar

1 tsp dried Italian seasoning

1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley

lemon wedges and parsley sprigs for serving optional

How to make Baked Pork Chops

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees.

Step 2: In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat.

Step 3: On both sides, season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Then, in a single layer, add the pork chops to the pan.

Step 4: Once the oil is hot, add the pork chops to the pan and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes per side until brown.

Step 5: Transfer the cooked pork chops to a plate and tent with foil to keep them warm.

Step 6: Into the same pan, melt the butter. Once melted, add in the garlic, brown sugar, and Italian seasoning. Cook for about 30 seconds while constantly stirring.

Step 7: Add the pork chops back to the pan and spoon the sauce over.

Step 8: Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes until the internal temperature of the pork chop reached 145 degrees F.

Step 9: Remove from the oven and spoon the sauce from the bottom of the pan over the pork chops and sprinkle with parsley. Garnish with lemon wedges and sprigs of parsley. Enjoy!

NOTE:

Substitute the Italian seasoning with equal parts of dried oregano, dried basil, and dried thyme.
