1 (1 pound) box medium pasta shells
1 pound ground beef
2 (10 ounces) cans of tomato soup
2 c. shredded cheddar
1 c. shredded mozzarella
1/2 c. water
garlic, salt & pepper to taste
How to make 4 Ingredient Hamburger Casserole
Step 1: According to package directions, cook, then drain the pasta.
Step 2: In the meantime, prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees and grease a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
Step 3: Brown and crumble the ground beef in a large skillet with garlic powder, salt and pepper, or any seasoning of your choice.
Step 4: To the skillet, add the cooked pasta, tomato soup, a half cup of water, and half of the cheese. Stir and cook over medium heat for about 2 to 3 minutes.
Step 5: Into the prepared baking dish, transfer the mixture, and top with the rest of the cheese.
Step 6: Tent the dish with foil, place it inside the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes.
Step 7: Remove the foil and bake for another 10 minutes. In the last 2 to 3 minutes of cooking time, turn the broiler to brown the cheese.
Step 8: Remove from the oven and enjoy immediately. For any leftover, store in the fridge for up to 3 days.
Notes:
If you want stringy cheese, feel free to use mozzarella. Or if you prefer 100% cheddar, it’s perfectly fine.
You can leave out the onion if you prefer.
