Loads of flavour that pops in your mouth, these subs will have everyone gossiping! Packed with chicken, lots of melty cheese with a homemade white BBQ sauce, this is total comfort in every bite!

Ingredients

White BBQ Sauce:

1/2 c mayo

2 tablespoons white vinegar

1/2 tablespoon fresh cracked white pepper

1/2 tablespoon Creole mustard

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons sugar

2 large garlic cloves pressed

2 teaspoons horseradish

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Sandwich:

6-8 chicken tenders

2 tablespoons vegetable oil for cooking

Salt and pepper

2 large shallots sliced

1 1/2 c shredded Monterrey Jack cheese

2 French bread subs

About 1/2 c. white BBQ sauce more for dipping or drizzling

How to make White BBQ Chicken Subs

Step 1: Combine the white BBQ sauce ingredients (mayo, white vinegar, fresh cracked white pepper, Creole mustard, salt, sugar, garlic, horseradish, lemon juice, and paprika). Place in the fridge until ready to use.

Step 2: In a saute pan with salt and pepper, cook the chicken tenders. Halfway through cooking, add in the shallots.

Step 3: When done, allow the chicken tenders to cool. When cool enough to handle, chop the chicken tenders and transfer them to a mixing bowl.

Step 4: To the bowl with the chicken, add the cooked onions, cheese, and white BB sauce, then mix well.

Step 5: In the middle but not cutting all the way through, slice the bread.

Step 6: Between the subs, divide the chicken mixture and sprinkle each with extra cheese on top.

Step 7: On a baking sheet, transfer the subs and place under a broiler. Broil until the cheese has melted, keeping an eye on the subs so they don’t burn.

Step 8: When done, drizzle extra white BBQ over the subs and serve immediately. Enjoy!
