Ingredients
1 lb boneless beef sirloin steak, cut into thin strips
1 package McCormick® Brown Gravy Mix
3/4 c. cold water
1/2 tsp McCormick® Ground Ginger
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp vegetable oil
1 medium green or red bell pepper (or 1/2 of each), cut into thin strips
1 small onion, cut into thin wedges
HOW TO MAKE WEEKNIGHT PEPPER STEAK
Step 1: In a small bowl, combine the gravy mix, water, soy sauce, and ginger until well mixed.
Step 2: In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the steak to the skillet and cook for about 2 minutes until no longer pink. Add the gravy mixture followed by the onion and bell pepper. Stir to combine.
Step 3: Bring the mixture to a boil, then adjust the heat to low. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 6 to 8 minutes, stirring often until the sauce has thickened.
Step 4: When done, remove from the heat and serve the pepper steak immediately over cooked rice, if desired. Enjoy!
TIPS:
You can use 1/4 tsp McCormick® Ground Red Pepper instead of ground pepper. If using McCormick® Ground Red Pepper, prepare as directed.
Feel free to substitute onion and bell pepper for 1 bag (16 ounces) frozen pepper stir-fry blend.
