Fried Chicken:
1 Egg, raw
1.5 c. / 0.5 pound Chicken,boneless,cut into 1” chunks
1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
1/4 c. Cornstarch
1/3 c. All-Purpose Flour
1/4 c. Chilled Club Soda
As per need Salt
1 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
Sesame Chicken Sauce:
1 teaspoon Sesame Oil
1.5 tablespoons White Vinegar
1.5 teaspoon Cornstarch
4 tablespoons Soy Sauce
1/2 c. Brown Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper Powder
1/3 c. Water
1/4 teaspoon Red Chili Flakes
2 teaspoon Sweet Chili Sauce
Additional:
Sesame Seeds for garnish
Oil for frying
How to make Ultimate Easy Sesame Chicken
Step 1: Combine the sesame chicken sauce until well mixed.
Step 2: Add the egg to a bowl along with sesame oil. Stir well.
Step 3: Into the bowl with the egg and sesame oil mixture, add the chicken, salt, black pepper powder, flour, cornstarch, and chilled soda. Toss to coat well the pieces of chicken.
Step 4: In a pan, heat the oil. Add the pieces of chicken in batches to the hot oil and fry until crisp. Transfer the fried chicken on kitchen tissue paper to drain.
Step 5: To the pan, add the sauce and allow it to boil for a couple of seconds. Toss in the pieces of fried chicken to coat with the sauce. Serve the sesame chicken with rice and noodles garnished with sesame seeds. Enjoy!
NOTES:
When frying the chicken, make sure to do it in batches to not overcrowd the pan,
You can add sriracha or red pepper flakes if you prefer a spicy sauce.
Swap honey with brown sugar if desired.
Do not skip on the cold soda as this ensures crispy fried chicken.
Feel free to whip up the sauce in advance and just store it in the fridge.
I prefer fried chicken, but you can cook the chicken in an air fryer.
Add a little more soda if the batter turned out thick.
