3/4 cup butter, room temperature
1/2 cup superfine sugar
2 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
Optional: raw sugar or large granulated sugar for coating
Instructions
Step 1: In a bowl, mix the butter and sugar. Add in the flour and combine until the consistency is crumbly.
Step 2: Knead in a floured surface to form a dough.
Step 3: Cover a parchment paper with sugar. Then, roll the dough on top forming a cylinder shape.
Step 4: Wrap the dough in saran wrap and refrigerate for about 30 minutes.
Step 5: Once cooled, remove the dough from the fridge and cut it into 1 cm slices.
Step 6: Place the cookies on an oven tray. Put inside the oven and bake for 20 minutes at 320 degrees F.
