This recipe is easy to throw together, you can even make this ahead and simply place it in the fridge or freezer until ready to serve. This Tater Tot Sausage Breakfast Casserole is perfect for breakfast, lunch even dinner. This is no doubt a crazy good casserole for all ages and seasons!

Ingredients

2 pounds hot breakfast sausage

1 (30-32 ounces) bag frozen tater tots

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1-1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 c. mozzarella cheese

8 Eggs

2 c. milk

HOW TO MAKE TATER TOT SAUSAGE BREAKFAST CASSEROLE

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees F.

Step 2: Using cooking spray, lightly grease a 9 x 13-inch pan.

Step 3: Cook the sausage in a large skillet until no longer pink. Drain the excess fat.

Step 4: Toss the tater tots, cooked sausage, and cheeses in a large bowl. Then, pour it into the prepared pan.

Step 5: Mix the eggs, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and milk until well combined. Over the tater tot mixture, pour the eggs mixture. If baking later, cover and place in the fridge.

Step 6: If baking now pops in the preheated oven and bake for about 60 to 70 minutes, uncovered, until the eggs are set.

Step 7: Remove from the oven and serve immediately. Enjoy!

Notes:

Feel free to make this casserole ahead. You can simply put this in the fridge or freezer for later.

When ready to serve, bake directly from the fridge, just add a couple of minutes to the cooking time.

If frozen, make sure to thaw completely in the fridge before baking as directed.

When reheating after freezing, completely thaw first. Using aluminium foil, cover the casserole and bake in a 350 degrees F preheated oven for about 30 to 40 minutes until heated through.
