Dress up your taco and lasagna with this easy recipe. This recipe is a combination of my two favourites, lasagna, and tacos. The flavours of a taco in a lasagna form – this is the best thing ever!
I always thought of mixing tacos and lasagna. I know it’ll be great and I was not wrong! My family surely enjoys everything about this taco lasagna. Whenever I have guests coming over, they always request this taco lasagna. I like to top each slice with a dollop of sour cream, chopped green onions, and diced tomatoes when serving. Make sure to try this very soon. I am sure you’ll love this taco lasagna just like we do!
Ingredients
1 Egg
1 lb lean ground beef
15 oz. ricotta cheese
24 oz. mild Pace salsa
5 c. shredded Mexican style cheese
diced tomatoes
green onions
2 packages taco seasoning
1 package of lasagna noodles
sour cream
How to make Taco Lasagna
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.
Step 2: Cook the beef until brown. When done, drain the excess grease. Add the taco seasoning to the beef and mix well. Set aside.
Step 3: Beat the eggs and ricotta cheese in a bowl until well combined.
Step 4: Lay the lasagna noodles out in a baking dish. Over the lasagna noodles, add a layer of ricotta mixture, beef, 1/3 salsa, and cheese. I don’t measure the beef and ricotta mixture. You can add more and less depending on your preference. Do the same layers two more times.
Step 5: Place in the preheated oven and bake the taco lasagna for about 40 minutes, covered. When done, remove from the oven and allow the taco lasagna to cool a little before slicing.
Step 6: To serve, top each slice with a dollop of sour cream, chopped green onions, and diced tomatoes. Enjoy!
