PREP TIME: 30 mins | COOK TIME: 10 mins | TOTAL TIME: 40 mins | YIELD: 4 burgers

You’ll only need five main ingredients to throw these Stuffed Greek Turkey Burgers. Perfect for any occasion, these healthy burgers are easy to make and super delicious!

INGREDIENTS

3 c (loosely packed) fresh spinach

1 teaspoon minced garlic

1 pound 97% lean turkey burger

½ teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon oregano

½ teaspoon dried basil

½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)

½ teaspoon ground pepper

1 large Egg

½ c chopped sun-dried tomatoes

½ c crumbled feta

How to make Stuffed Greek Turkey Burgers

Step 1: Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the spinach and minced garlic. Saute for about 3 to 4 minutes until the spinach has wilted. Place the spinach in a small bowl or plate and let it cool for a bit.

Step 2: Put the ground turkey in a large bowl and sprinkle evenly with spices. Add in the cooled spinach, then fold.

Step 3: Mix in the egg, then add in the sun-dried tomatoes and crumbled feta. If needed, mix the patty mixture with your hands.

Step 4: Shape about half a cup of the burger mixture into a patty until you make four large patties or six small-sized patties. Transfer the patties to a baking sheet and place in the fridge to chill for at least 30 minutes. Or make this a day ahead and store in the fridge until ready to cook.

Step 5: When ready to serve, preheat a grill or heat oil in a large skillet. Add the burger patties and cook both sides for about 5 to 6 minutes until the internal temperature reads 165 degrees F.

Step 6: Before adding to salad, buns, etc., let the burgers rest for at least 3 to 4 minutes.
