Prep time: 5 mins | Cook time: 20 mins | Marinating Time: 30 mins | Total time: 55 mins | Serves: 2

This is my number one favourite shrimp recipe. The bold, hot, spicy, and decadent flavours are to die for! This Spicy New Orleans Shrimp is all you need to satisfy your cravings. The perfectly cooked shrimp swimming in an easy yet seriously delicious buttery, smokey, and spicy marinade is the one thing that you do not want to miss! Ever!

INGREDIENTS

2 tbsp butter unsalted

2 tbsp olive oil

1 lb. white tiger shrimp

1 tbsp Worcestershire

2 tbsp sweet chilli sauce

1 tsp liquid smoke

1 tsp chilli powder

1 tsp dried oregano

1 tsp smoked paprika

4 cloves garlic minced

juice from 1/2 lemon

1 tsp sriracha hot sauce or tabasco

2 tbsp parsley chopped

salt and pepper to taste

HOW TO MAKE SPICY NEW ORLEANS SHRIMP

Step 1: Peel the shrimp, then devein.

Step 2: To an oven-safe skillet, add all the ingredients except for the shrimp. Stir and allow to simmer for about 5 to 10 minutes.

Step 3: Take the skillet off the heat and allow the mixture to cool for a few minutes before adding the shrimp. Toss the shrimp around until it is completely plunged into the sauce.

Step 4: Cover the shrimp with foil and place it in the fridge for at least 30 minutes up to 4 hours.

Step 5: When ready to bake, prepare the oven. Preheat it to 400 degrees.

Step 6: Place the shrimp in the preheated oven and bake for about 10 to 15 minutes.

Step 7: When done, remove from the oven and serve the shrimp right away with crusty French bread and a drizzle of lemon juice. Enjoy!

NOTES:

Place the shrimp in an airtight container and store it in the fridge for up to 3 to 4 days. You can even freeze the shrimp for up to 3 months. Thaw the frozen shrimp in the fridge overnight, then cook.
