HOW TO MAKE SPICY HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN
Step 1: In the cornstarch, coat the pieces of chicken. Keep in the fridge for at least 30 minutes to give the cornstarch time to stick to the chicken.
Step 2: In the meantime, combine the sauce ingredients (soy sauce, chicken broth, sesame oil, honey, garlic, ginger, and the white&red pepper flakes) in a small bowl until well mixed.
Step 3: To a frying pan, heat the vegetable oil. Once hot, add the chicken to the pan in small batches and fry. Transfer the fried chicken to a paper towel-lined plate/
Step 4: Drain the oil from the pan. Add the sauce to the pan after draining the oil along with the chicken. Bring the sauce to a boil. Once boiling, decrease the heat to a simmer for about 20 minutes, stirring often.
Step 5: Remove the pan from the heat when done and serve the chicken right away garnished with some green onions. Enjoy over fried rice.
