SPICY CHICKEN CHEESEBALLS

by Rebecca March 5, 2021

Prep time: 5 mins | Cook time: 25 mins | Total time: 30 mins | Yield: 48 Balls

Our new obsession, Spicy Chicken Cheeseballs! We used to have sausage balls only but men, we didn’t know how much we are missing out on until we try these bad boys! Serve these hot with some mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, green beans, corn, or peas. If you want to spice things up a bit, these babies are sure a hit!

INGREDIENTS

3 c. all-purpose baking mix Bisquick or Arrowhead Mills brands have both been tested

1 lb ground chicken

2 tbsp Tapatio Salsa Picante hot sauce

4 c. sharp cheddar cheese shredded

½ c. milk

½ tsp oregano

¼ tsp garlic powder

¼ tsp onion powder

dash of salt and pepper

HOW TO MAKE SPICY CHICKEN CHEESEBALLS

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.

Step 2: With parchment paper, line a baking sheet and set it aside.

Step 3: In a large bowl, place all the ingredients (all-purpose baking mix, ground chicken, hot sauce, shredded cheddar cheese, milk, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper). Mix with your hands or with a stand mixer fitted with a paddle attachment.

Step 4: Form the mixture into about an-inch diameter balls.

Step 5: Place the balls on the prepared baking sheet and into the preheated oven. Bake for about 20 to 25 minutes until golden brown and the internal temperature of the chicken cheese balls reached 165 degrees.

NOTE:

You can fit everything onto a large sheet pan if you don’t mind the balls touching each other. Or use two pans if you don’t want the balls touching.
