Make this favourite takeout meal in the comfort of your home. A slow cooker version of the classic Honey Garlic Sesame Chicken. Incredibly easy to prep, you simply have to add everything to the slow cooker. Once done, take the chicken out, shred, then add back to the sauce. So simple and goes so well with rice, noodles, in sandwiches, or quesadillas.

Ingredients
1 lb chicken
1 small onion, sliced or diced
1 tbsp garlic, grated
1 tbsp ginger, grated
1/4 c. honey
1/4 c. soy sauce
2 tbsp ketchup
1 tbsp rice vinegar
chilli sauce (such as sriracha or sambal oelek) to taste
1 tbsp sesame oil
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds
How to make Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Sesame Chicken
Step 1: In the slow cooker, add the ingredients except for the sesame oil and sesame seeds. Set on low and cook for 6 to 10 hours. Or 2 to 5 hours on high.
Step 2: Take the chicken out of the slow cooker, shred, discarding the skin and bones, then stir the chicken back into the sauce along with the sesame oil and sesame seeds.
Option 1: In a pan with a bit of oil, cook the onion, garlic, and ginger. Add this to the slow cooker after.
Option 2: In the slow cooker, let the sauce and juices simmer until reduced and thickened. Remove the chicken, shred, then add back to the reduced sauce.
