SLOW COOKER HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN

My favourite part of cooking in a slow cooker is doing almost nothing! All you need is to dump everything inside it and let it do its thing. Minimal preparation, no need to stay in the kitchen forever, and the best part are I can do my other things! That’s why I particularly love slow cooker recipes. They are not fussy but tastes so good! Like this Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken. Needs only a few simple ingredients and almost 1 to 3 steps to prep! So easy, super delicious, and perfect for busy days! And this easy peasy meal will not break your bank. The ingredients you need are already available in your kitchen. And the juicy, tender chicken thighs are the best! With so much flavour, you want to dig straight in! Serve this over hot rice, veggies, or alongside your fave side dish to complete your meal.

INGREDIENTS

6 chicken thighs

4 garlic cloves, chopped

1/2 c soy sauce

1/2 c honey

1/3 c ketchup

1.5 tsp Italian seasoning

1.5 tsp sesame seeds (optional)

salt and pepper, to taste

How to make SLOW COOKER HONEY GARLIC CHICKEN

Step 1: Place the garlic cloves, soy sauce, honey, ketchup, and Italian seasoning in a medium bowl. Whisk to combine, then set aside.

Step 2: With salt and pepper, season the chicken thighs.

Step 3: Into the slow cooker, add the chicken thighs.

Step 4: Pour in the sauce.

Step 5: Set on low and cook for 7 to 8 hours. Or 3 to 4 hours on high until the chicken is cooked and the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees.

Step 6: Remove the chicken thighs from the slow cooker and onto a serving platter. Sprinkle on top with sesame and serve. Enjoy!
