If you love easy recipes, this one is for you. Another slow cooker genius that you can make using only pantry ingredients and prep in no more than five minutes. A dump-and-go recipe that will guarantee a filling and super flavorful dish that your entire family will enjoy!

Chicken is a staple at my house. I have my favourites and go-to because my kids prefer chicken among anything else! And this mouthwatering Creamy Tomato Basil Chicken is always a huge hit over here. We love to serve this over a plate of spaghetti and incredibly satisfying on its own with a simple side salad. Amazingly creamy, crazy delicious, and a certified kid-friendly and family-friendly meal. Tender, juicy chicken breasts smothered in a creamy and comforting sauce with a superb consistency. Try this out soon, and I promise, you’ll love every inch of this luscious dish!

Ingredients

14 ounces can diced tomatoes with Italian herbs

3/4 c. tomato pasta sauce

3/4 c. evaporated milk or heavy cream

2 tbsp corn starch

2 tsp minced garlic

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp dried basil

1/4 tsp black pepper

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

2 tbsp finely chopped fresh basil

How to make Slow Cooker Creamy Tomato Basil Chicken

Step 1: To a 3-6-quart slow cooker, add the tomatoes and pasta.

Step 2: Combine the cream with corn starch, then add it to the slow cooker. Add the garlic, salt, basil, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Step 3: Add the chicken breasts on top, pressing them down into the sauce. Set the slow cooker on low for 3 to 5 hours. Note that the cooking time varies depending on your slow cooker. To chicken is cooked when its internal temperature reached 165 degrees.

Step 4: Before serving, stir in some fresh basil. Enjoy over pasta, rice, or with a salad and veggies.
