Slow Cooker Chicken Alfredo

Thank goodness with slow cooker recipes like this easy Chicken Alfredo, we can enjoy the best meals even on the busiest days! Juicy, tender chicken breasts, and pasta cooked right in a flavorful homemade Alfredo sauce in the slow cooker. Quickly prep this in less than ten minutes, set to cook, and leave. An easy and incredibly delicious one-pot dish that your family deserves!

Ingredients

1 tbsp olive oil

2 lbs chicken breasts

3 c. of heavy cream

4 c. of low sodium chicken broth

4 tbsp butter

2 cloves garlic smashed

1 lb of uncooked penne pasta

1 c. hot water

5 ounces freshly shredded Parmesan cheese

kosher salt and black pepper

garlic powder

How to make Slow Cooker Chicken Alfredo

Step 1: Using paper towels, pat dries the chicken breasts and season with salt, pepper, and a sprinkle of garlic powder. Quickly sear the chicken on each side in olive oil over high heat.

Step 2: To a slow cooker, add the chicken breasts, heavy cream, chicken broth, butter, garlic cloves, and a tsp of kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Set on low for 4 hours or 2 to 3 hours on high until the internal temperature of the chicken reached 165 degrees.

Step 3: Take the chicken from the slow cooker and set it aside. Once the chicken is cool, slice them.

Step 4: To the slow cooker, stir in a cup of hot water and add the uncooked penne pasta. Put the lid on, seal, and cook for about 30 minutes on high until the pasta is just tender.

Step 5: Stir in the Parmesan cheese, shredded chicken, with more salt and black pepper once the pasta is tender.
