I was very excited when I saw this recipe online. I know it’ll turn out wonderful, and I was right! My family loves every inch, and this casserole quickly became one of our favourite rotations.
Ingredients
1/4 c. butter, cut into pieces
1 lb. large shrimp cleaned and deveined
1 lb. haddock cleaned and skinned
3- 4 garlic cloves minced
1/2 c. shredded Swiss cheese
1/2 – 3/4 c. heavy cream
Sea salt and pepper
Paprika
How to make Simple Seafood Casserole
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 375 degrees. Using a cooking spray, grease a 7 x 11-inch glass-ceramic dish.
Step 2: Slice the haddock into around 1 1/2 in pieces. Lay them in the prepared pan, then add the shrimp. To taste, season with salt and pepper.
Step 3: To the fish and shrimp, add the minced garlic. Pour in the heavy cream and add the Swiss cheese.
Step 4: Around the pan, place the butter and dab some over the seafood/fish. Scatter the butter.
Step 5: Season the casserole with paprika.
Step 6: Place the pan in the preheated oven and bake the casserole for about 15 to 20 minutes. Keep in mind to not over-bake the shrimp.
Notes:
If desired, feel free to add a pound of sea scallions and cook them along with the rest at the same amount of time.
