Filling, comforting dish best serve with mashed potatoes and your choice of veggies. I’ve made it a lot of times and it is a hit time and time again. This sure is a reliable meal, a keeper, and a must!
Ingredients
Patties:
1 pound Lean Ground Beef
1/3 c Bread Crumbs
2 teaspoons Ketchup
1 teaspoon Mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire
1/2 teaspoon Garlic Powder
1/2 teaspoon Onion Powder
Gravy:
2 packets Brown Gravy Mix
2 c hot Water
1 teaspoon Ketchup
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire
How to make Simple Salisbury Steak
Step 1: In a large bowl, add the pattie ingredients; ground beef, bread crumbs, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire, garlic powder, and onion powder. Combine by massaging the ingredients with your hands.
Step 2: In a large skillet, heat a tbsp oil over medium heat.
Step 3: Once the oil is hot, add the patties and cook each side until no longer pink.
Step 4: Adjust the heat to low.
Step 5: In a bowl, whisk the gravy mix with water until incorporated.
Step 6: Add the ketchup and Worcestershire to the gravy mixture and whisk until combined. Pour this over the patties.
Step 7: Let the gravy simmer until warm and thick.
Note:
I recommend using lean ground beef for the best results. You can even make your won gravy if desired.
