Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit Casserole

Casseroles are amazing! They are made with simple ingredients mixed and bake to give us the most filling and comforting meals. I have tons of casserole recipes I keep and this recipe is on my top ten. It’s the perfect breakfast meal to keep us full.

If you are a breakfast kind of person or simply looking for simple breakfast recipes, this is yours to keep. Nothing can beat the feeling of waking up to a warm breakfast straight out of the oven.

Ingredients

1 pound ground pork breakfast sausage

1 cup Italian 5 cheese blend, shredded

4 large Eggs

3/4 cup whipping cream

1 tablespoon dried thyme

1 teaspoon garlic salt

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

10 ounces can butter tasting biscuits

How to make Sausage Egg & Cheese Biscuit Casserole

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 350 degrees.

Step 2: Using nonstick cooking spray, grease an 11 x 8-inches baking dish and set it aside.

Step 3: Cook the sausage in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, stirring often until the brown and crumby. Drain the excess grease when done.

Step 4: Into the prepared dish, transfer the sausage and cheese.

Step 5: Add the eggs, cream, thyme, garlic salt, and pepper in a medium bowl and whisk to combine. Pour this over the sausage mixture, then evenly arrange the biscuits on top. Place in the preheated oven and bake for about 20 minutes until the biscuits are golden. Cover the dish with aluminium foil and continue to bake for another 15 minutes. When done, remove from the oven and allow the casserole to stand for at least 15 minutes, then serve. Enjoy!
