Round Steak & Gravy

This round steak and gravy are one of the easiest recipes you can make using only six ingredients and just a few steps. I like to serve this over mashed potatoes with some corn kernels or my favourite greens for a filling meal any day of the week. Easily double the recipe is feeding more without having to adjust the onion and gravy and simply doubling the meat.

Today, I decided to stay home. I will take a week off from work, and I plan on trying to cook and bake more. This round steak and gravy recipe is not new but never gets old. I make this using my Instant Pot. If you prefer to make this in your crockpot or oven, just make some minimal adjustments. Either way, I am pretty sure that this will turn out amazing as always! This is another great recipe to try, and also a keeper.

Ingredients

3 cloves of Garlic, Peeled and Smashed

4 to 6 slices of Round Steak

1 Medium Yellow Onion, Sliced

2 tablespoons of Butter

2 Pouches of Onion Gravy

2 cups of Hot Water

How to make Round Steak & Gravy

Step 1: Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a skillet, then add the round steak and sear for about 2 to 3 minutes on each side.

Step 2: Add 1 tbsp butter to your Instant Pot. Add the onion and saute. Next, add the meat slices.

Step 3: Mix two pouches of gravy with 2 cups of hot water until dissolved. Pour this over the meat and onions in the pot.

Step 4: Press the “Meat” setting on your Instant Pot and cook for 20 minutes on high pressure. When done, release the steam.

Step 5: Serve the round steak & gravy over creamy mashed potatoes and with buttery corn on the side. Enjoy!
