You’ll love every bite of this juicy chicken flavoured with rosemary and paprika. Make this using a few pantry staples and enjoy this delicious Roasted Cornish Hen for dinner, even for date nights! If you are craving whole chicken but hate too many leftovers, this roasted Cornish hen will do the trick. Cornish chicken comes in different sizes. Pick the smallest if you are single or go big if feeding a small family.

A lot of people wonder how to cook a Cornish hen. It’s just the same way as roasting a chicken, but this time you’ll roast a smaller version. Season with simple seasoning and rub the entire Cornish hen with butter or olive oil, then place it in a roasting pan and bake, uncovered. Easy peasy!

INGREDIENTS

5 garlic cloves

1 Cornish Hen

paprika

1/2 lemon

dried or fresh rosemary

sea salt

ground pepper

HOW TO MAKE ROASTED CORNISH HEN

Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 450 degrees F.

Step 2: With lemon, rub the Cornish hen and sprinkle it with liberal amounts of salt and pepper on the entire skin, making sure not to miss every square inch.

Step 3: After the salt and pepper, sprinkle the Cornish hen with paprika, then a slight amount of rosemary.

Step 4: In the cavity of the Cornish hen, place the lemon and cloves of garlic. Place the Cornish hen in a roasting pan and into the preheated oven. Bake for about 25 minutes.

Step 5: After 25 minutes, adjust the oven temperature to 350 degrees F.

Step 6: Frequently baste the meat with the pan juices and resume roasting for additional 25 minutes or until the internal temperature of the Cornish hen reached the safe point.

Step 7: Remove from the oven when done and allow the Cornish hen to rest for about 10 minutes before carving.

Step 8: Serve and enjoy!
