¾ c. (170 grams) butter, divided
1 tbsp granulated sugar
2 c. (250 grams) all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
2 c. (8 oz., 230 grams) mild cheddar cheese
1 c. (245 grams) whole milk
½ tsp dried parsley
2 tbsp kosher salt, divided
How to make Red Lobster Biscuits
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees F. Using Silpat or parchment paper, line a baking sheet.
Step 2: Add half-cup (113 grams) butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Heat for about 45 seconds until the butter has melted. Keep it aside to lightly cool.
Step 3: Add the flour in a large mixing bowl along with the sugar, baking powder, garlic, and 1 tsp salt. Mix well until blended.
Step 4: Into the melted butter, pour the milk and stir until incorporated.
Step 5: Over the dry ingredients, pour the milk and butter mixture until just mixed. Fold in the shredded cheese until evenly distributed.
Step 6: With your fingers, grab around half a cup of dough and place it into the baking sheet. Onto the baking sheet, you can fit 8 large biscuits. If desired, you can make smaller biscuits. Place in the preheated oven and bake the biscuits for about 10 to 12 minutes until the biscuits are just barely golden brown.
Step 7: In the meantime, add the rest of the 1/4 c. (56 grams) of butter in a small mixing bowl for 30 seconds and melt in the microwave. Stir in 1 tsp salt and all the parsley until blended.
Step 8: Straightaway brush the biscuits with the butter parsley mixture. Serve hot and enjoy!
