3/4 c. (170 grams) butter, divided
2 c. (250 grams) all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 teaspoons kosher salt, divided
1 c. (245 grams) whole milk
2 c. (8oz., 230grams) mild cheddar cheese
½ tsp dried parsley
How to make Red Lobster Biscuits
Step 1: Prepare the oven. Preheat it to 425 degrees F. Using Silpat or parchment paper, line a large baking sheet.
Step 2: Place half a cup or 113 grams of butter in a medium microwave-safe bowl. Heat the butter for about 45 seconds until melted, then set it aside to cool a little.
Step 3: Meanwhile, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, garlic, and a tsp salt in a large mixing bowl until well mixed.
Step 4: Into the melted butter, pour the milk and stir well. Over the dry ingredients, pour the milk and butter mixture. Stir well until just mixed. Ensure not to over mix. Then, fold in the shredded cheese until evenly dispersed.
Step 5: Using your fingers, grab around half a cup of dough, then drop it onto the baking sheet. Onto this baking sheet, you can fit 8 large biscuits. Feel free to make smaller biscuits and ready another lined baking sheet, then create each biscuit with about 1/4 cup of the dough. Now, Place the sheet in the prepared oven and bake for about 10 to 12 minutes until the biscuits are just hardly golden brown.
Step 6: In the meantime, in a small mixing bowl, melt the rest of the 1/4 cup or 56 grams of butter in the microwave for about 30 seconds until melted. Add in a tsp of salt and parsley, then stir.
Step 7: After removing the biscuits from the oven, quickly brush them with the butter parsley mixture. Serve these Red Lobster Biscuits hot. Enjoy!
