Prep time: 7 mins | Cook time: 8 mins | Total time: 15 mins | Servings: 2

This is a pretty easy and quick recipe with less prep work. It is another Asian recipe with caramelized beef, ramen noodles, and bean sprouts tossed in a savoury sauce. Enjoy a slurp-worthy meal with this efficient, flavour-packed, and easy recipe any time!

Ingredients

1 teaspoon oil

200 grams/7 ounces beef mince (ground beef)

2 packets ramen or other instant noodles, discard seasoning

2 garlic cloves, minced

1/2 onion, sliced

Big handful bean sprouts

2 teaspoons sesame oil (or more oil)

1 1/4 c. (315 ml) water, plus more as needed

SAUCE:

1 tablespoon Oyster sauce (or Hoisin)

1 tablespoon dark soy sauce

1 tablespoon mirin

2 teaspoons Hoisin sauce (or more Oyster sauce)

GARNISHES (OPTIONAL):

Sesame seeds

Finely sliced green onion/shallots

How to make Quick Asian Beef Ramen Noodles

Step 1: Combine the sauce ingredients (oyster sauce, dark soy sauce, mirin, and Hoisin sauce) until well blended.

Step 2: In a medium skillet, heat the oils over high heat. Once the oil is hot, add the onion and garlic. Cook for about 1 1/2 minutes until beginning to turn golden. Then, add the beef and continue to cook until light brown, breaking the meat apart as it cooks.

Step 3: To the skillet, add the sauce, and cook further until well caramelized. This takes about 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 4: To one side of the skillet, push the beef to make enough space for the noodles. Put the noodles in water and submerge them for about 45 seconds. Turn the noodles and soak for another 30 seconds. Now, untangle the noodles and add to the skillet. Toss well with the beef.

Step 5: Add the beansprouts to the skillet. Toss and cook for a minute more or until the sauce has reduced and the noodles are coated.

Step 6: Remove from the heat when done. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds, then serve right away. Enjoy!
